Tabriz Petrochemical Co. (TPC) as a leading Petrochemical Co in Iran and the region, produces several non-polymeric and polymeric products. Several distinct grades of Polyethylene, Polystyrene and Arylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene stand among major polymer products of the company.
I worked as the polymer engineer at the R&D section of TPC and my focus was on Polyethylene and its mechanical and physical properties. Besides, I had a quite broad knowledge on Polystyrene grades produced at TPC.

Located at the outskirt Tehran, Tehran Manufacturing Companies was a pioneer in introducing calendaring and transfer coating processes with Polyurethane and Polyvinyl Chloride. My full-time internship was a great chance for me to assess and investigate such technologies in terms of uses of several additives, temperature-pressure control, mechanical and physical properties of the final products.

Adineh Industrial Group (AIG), at the industrial center of Tabriz (a leading industrial city of Iran), deals with designing and constructing different parts of automotive and machinery tools via using distinct Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) Machining . I worked at AIG to help with design and construction of interfacial tension measuring instruments such as Spinning Drop Tensioextensiometer which I also used in during my master studies to measure the interfacial tension of several polymer pairs.

Polycarbonate-based materials and Polycarbonate/Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (PC/ABS) in particular are widely used in several technological fields, let it be automotive, medical, Electronics, aircraft or packaging. As a ubiquitous polymer blend, it can be molded and processed with offering interesting physical and mechanical properties. In National Petrochemical Co. of Iran, I had the chance to have a broad look at the demand and supply of PC/ABS materials world-wide and in particular in Iran.
